Student Life in Warsaw

Warsaw is Poland’s capital and largest city, with 1.8 million inhabitants. It is on the Vistula River in the middle of the country. As you stroll the streets of the city, you’ll be struck by the versatility of Warsaw. Skyscrapers and luxury retail outlets neighbor museums and libraries in a space that feels both cosmopolitan and yet rather raw.

Warsaw’s Old Town is the jewel in the Polish capital’s crown. It delights visitors with its colorful tenement houses and the unique atmosphere of its narrow streets. You can visit the Museum of Warsaw or follow the Old Town Cellars Route. See also the barbican and the bell on Kanonia street, take a stroll along the old city walls, and take a photo of the Vistula from the observation point at Gnojna Góra. Step into the cathedral, which houses the tombs of the medieval Mazovian princes.
