The Cracow University of Technology is a national autonomous university with a long academic tradition. It was founded in 1945. In 1975 the University was named after Tadeusz Kościuszko, a Polish and an American national hero, a general and a skilled engineer of fortifications around Cracow and the West Point fortification in the United States.
At present, the Cracow University of Technology is offering 36 degree programmes. Over 16,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses and programmes supervised by 897 academic teachers including 238 professors. Total number of alumni that graduated from the Cracow University of Technology exceeds 62,500.

Kraków is the second-largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River, the city dates back to the seventh century. The beautiful city of Krakow, the former capital of Poland, is a dreamland for those with a fascination for architecture and is a great destination for history buffs. Simply strolling the quaint streets of its Old Town will immerse you in its past and get you acquainted with buildings made under the Baroque, Gothic, and Renaissance periods of the country. You can also visit the harrowing remnants of the ghetto, Schindler’s Enamel Factory, and the ruins of former concentration camps to learn about city life back in World War II and see how far the city has come and how it evolved into the lively hub for art and education that it is today.
Cracow University of Technology offers accommodation in its students’ residence hall located at Skarzyńskiego Street, in DS-4 Balon (twin rooms, shared bathrooms and shared kitchen).
Also students have the opportunity to develop passion for sports becoming members of the CUT Academic Sports Association and using the CUT Sports and Recreation Centre. Social and sports facilities belong to the most modern and sophisticated of all Cracow universities and technical universities in Poland. The university offers its students over 2,5 thousand places in 5 dormitories.
The strategic goal of the university is to perform the role of an innovative and entrepreneurial educational institution where education is on a par with research and transfer of technologies to the economy.
