About University

Namangan State University is one of the biggest higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan with more than 28,000 students and over 1000 teaching staff. It is located in Namangan province and gives students the ability to study pedagogy and psychology at Uzbekistan’s best university. 

The University presents 42 Bachelors’s educational programs, 15 Master’s specialization programs, 10 programs for Ph.D., and 15 additional programs for correspondence doctoral studies. Students can study in English mediums such disciplines as economics, arts, music culture, medical science, and others.

The teaching staff is highly educated: 46% of them have Ph.D. and Doctoral levels degrees. 

Currently, 714 professors and teachers work in 16 faculties, and 46 departments. Namangan State University gladly welcomes both, local and international applicants. According to the latest data, there are 13951 full-time undergraduate students, 2928 evening students, 8732 part-time students, and 1704 master’s students.

To improve the scientific appearance of the university, many professors and researchers have been working on projects and scientific works. Recently, the number of articles in journals that are international base by NamSU professors has reached 419.

Each faculty has undergraduate and postgraduate courses studied in English medium. The mode of study can be full-time, part-time, or online, following the choice of the applicant.  

Accommodation

Namangan State University is pleased to guarantee places at its dormitory for all the students, who come from other cities or countries. The building is located not far from the studying campuses. The supermarkets, cafes, and sports centers are in the same area. 

All the premises are fully furnished and ensured with modern conveniences like cold and hot water, electricity, free Wi-Fi, central heating during the winter, etc. The dormitories are safe, owing to the surveillance cameras and strict pass system. The outdoor territory is surrounded by supermarkets, cafes, coffee bars, banks, and sports centers.

The female and male students live separately. Each room is shared by 2-3 people.  The dormitory also has a warden, which is responsible for the security and well-being of the residents.

Namangan State University has actively participated in European commission projects. In the Tempus program, NamSU participated and organized a project under the title – Towards a Central Asian Higher education area: Tuning structures and Building Quality culture. Besides that, NamSU was involved in projects in Erasmus+(ModeHEd, IMEP, UZDOC2.0). With the help of those projects, University professors and teachers, and students managed to improve their working and studying careers considerably.
